Spring break has started and what an eventful one it has been so far. On Saturday morning I went out and watched my mom run her first 5k with Gabe motivating her the whole way. What a great start to the morning. They both made a great running team together.
My mom has worked so hard and I am beyond proud of her for how far she has come. Can't wait to see her run more. She is my inspiration.
After the race the weekend of adventures continued. Gabe's birthday had been on Thursday so I had a surprise weekend planned. We headed up to Camino for the rest of the day/night to wine taste, beer taste, and stay the night at a bed and breakfast. What a perfect day it was.
As we headed to the third winery it began to snow and it was the first time in a long time Gabe had seen snow fall. What a great experience! We stopped and took some pictures at apple hill while the snow was falling.
We even saw two adorable geese together at the pond while it was snowing.
Our last stop was Jack Russell Brewery which was so cute and cozy. They had a fire going and even green beer for St. Patrick's Day. We got a few samples of raspberry, apple, and blueberry beer that were pretty good!
After the brewery we headed over to the bed and breakfast and to our surprise we were the only guests for the night. We fell asleep to some snow coming down and woke up to 10.5 inches of snow in the morning! We also got to have a nice home cooked breakfast in the dining room while watching the snow fall.
Check out time was 11:00 am and I had more surprises for the day planned so we headed out after breakfast. We had to scrap an unbelievable amount of snow off of my mom's car.
We played around in the snow and took some pictures then headed back down the hill for some rain, hail, and sun. I couldn't have asked for a better weekend.
